Rather than relying on broad marketing claims or green buzzwords, we want to clearly explain the certifications, testing, and standards behind our products, what they mean, and just as importantly, what they don't.

Independently Tested for Children's Safety
Creating products for children comes with an enormous responsibility, and it's one we take seriously.
Every Little Potion Co potion kit has been independently tested to meet the toy safety requirements of the countries we sell into, including Australia, the U.S, the U. K and EU.
Our products have undergone testing for a wide range of physical, mechanical and chemical safety requirements to ensure they meet the relevant toy safety standards for their intended age group.
While many sensory products are sold as craft supplies or educational materials, we've chosen to invest in comprehensive toy safety testing because that's exactly how our products are used... by children.
It's a significant investment for a small business, but we believe parents deserve confidence that the products they're bringing into their homes have been designed and tested with children's safety in mind.
Because imagination should never come at the expense of safety.
Why We Chose Bio-Glitter®
Glitter has long been a magical part of childhood, but traditional glitter is typically made from plastic that can remain in the environment for many years.
That's why we made the decision to use certified Bio-Glitter® instead.
Our Bio-Glitter® is made from responsibly sourced cellulose rather than conventional plastic and has been independently tested under OECD 301B standards. It is also certified TÜV Austria OK Biodegradable WATER, meaning it has been verified to biodegrade in natural freshwater environments under the conditions specified by the certification.
For us, that means families can enjoy the sparkle while making a more environmentally responsible choice.
We know there are many products marketed as "eco glitter" or "biodegradable glitter", but not all glitters are created equal. Some alternatives use cellulose acetate or rely on marketing claims that don't carry the same independent certifications.
That's why we've chosen to work with certified Bio-Glitter® suppliers who can provide independent verification of the environmental claims behind their products.
Because we believe magic shouldn't last forever in our waterways.
Responsibly Sourced Mica
The beautiful shimmer in many of our potion ingredients comes from mica, a naturally occurring mineral that creates the magical pearlescent effects children love.
Unfortunately, mica mining has historically been associated with environmental and human rights concerns in some parts of the world.
That's why we choose to source our mica through suppliers who participate in responsible sourcing programs and work towards ethical and transparent supply chains.
While no global supply chain is perfect, we believe it's important to make thoughtful sourcing decisions and continually seek suppliers who share our values around responsible production.
Every ingredient we choose is considered not only for the magic it creates, but for the people and environments involved in bringing it to life.
